Test your knowledge of indices by sorting these mathematical statements into true or false.
Complete the following questions in your exercise book or folder:
We know that each time we increase an exponent by one we are multiplying the base by itself another time. So, if we are decreasing the exponent by 1, we are doing the inverse and dividing the previous number by the base.
Test your understanding of the zero index by completing the interactive.
When you get to the end, use the blue export text button to get a copy of your written answers to submit to your teacher.
Visit the Dr Tim's Indices Challenge page on Transum.org to test your understanding of indices and algebra.
Don't forget to hand in the work you completed today!
Your teacher will have told you to do one of the following:
Upload any digital documents you created and any photos you took of your written work to your Learning Management system (MS Teams, Google Classroom for example).
Email any digital documents you created and any photos you took of your written work to your teacher.
Make sure you keep any hand written work you did in your exercise book or folder as your teacher may need to see these when you are back in class.
