The nature of work and the pathways to employment are continually changing. In this lesson sequence, students will explore the various factors which influence an individual’s career choices, aspirations and pathways.
Students will:
participate in a recorded personal training session to determine the value of hard skills versus soft skills
analyse the interrelationship between your passion, purpose and career planning
explore the changing nature of job landscapes
analyse how norms, stereotypes and expectations related to employment and career pathways have changed with time.
Outcomes:
PD5-1 assesses their own and others’ capacity to reflect on and respond positively to challenges
Students will participate in a personal training session by accessing their own recording from last week’s lesson or the recording of a peer. They will participate in the session and self-evaluate to make a judgment on the importance of hard skills versus soft skills.
