Congrats on making it to Level 3 Project judging, the Finalist round of STLP State.
Get ready for an entirely different experience with your project team. It's time to really display your enthusiasm for your project and your mastery of the subject; all in relation to the KAS Tech Standards, of course.
Here's some tips to get you prepped...
Level 3 is very different—there’s no set schedule, and judging begins after Level 2.
Judges can stop by any time for a conversational visit with presenters.
Multiple judge groups may visit, sometimes more than once.
Judges expect interactive discussion and not scripted presentations for Level 3.
Be ready to explain confidently and enthusiastically why your project represents the best in Kentucky edtech.
Stay at your table until Level 3 judging is officially over and the release announcement is made.
All Level 3 teams should stay for the STLP Awards Ceremony—every project is in the running for Best in State and can only be Champion if present.
KET will broadcast the show live—call home and say, “I’m going to be on TV!”
All Level 3 teams will be recognized on stage and receive an award, with final results announced live.
You’ve worked hard—let your students enjoy this moment, even if the ride home is long!
Level 3 Judges: Kentucky’s EdTech Elite
Kentucky is a national leader in education technology, and Level 3 Judges are hand-selected experts from across the state.
These judges know they’re choosing the teams who will represent Kentucky on the international stage, and they view this role as an honor and privilege.
Enjoy the opportunity to share your amazing project with some of the state’s top EdTech leaders!
Thank you to all our Level 3 Judges, too!
Level 3 Recognition & Next Steps:
All Level 3 teams will be recognized on stage in Rupp Arena and receive an award—announced live during the 4 PM Challenge & Project Award Show (also broadcast on KET KY Channel).
STLP State Champion Projects will be invited to present at the ISTE Conference in San Antonio, TX this June.
Champions will receive a stipend to attend and represent their district, STLP Kentucky, and the KY Department of Education at the national level—Level 4!
