Bus Zone Instructions
Buses At Central Bank Center
Working together, we can all contribute to the Bus Zone running quickly, smoothly, and safely. Follow these instructions to arrive at the correct location for optimal morning drop off.
Buses will only be permitted to enter the Bus Zone to drop off students using Manchester Street via Oliver Lewis Way. Click here to plug in your location to get directions to the bus entrance. Consider alternative routes to alleviate traffic and shorten your wait time.
Lexington Police Department has instructed STLP and Central Bank Center that no buses may stop to unload along W. High Street or Main Street (outside of the venue).
Morning Drop Off
Buses can begin to drop off students as early as 8 am Eastern
Buses will only be permitted to enter the Bus Zone to drop off students on Manchester Street via Oliver Lewis Way. Central Bank Center and Lexington PD will direct buses. Students will unload and enter Loading Docks A and K to go directly into the Exhibit Hall.
Bus Parking
After drop off and once CBC traffic security verifies students are clear of the Bus Zone, empty buses will be sent down Manchester Street and into the bus parking area. Many districts will send their buses back home for other runs throughout the day instead of parking.
If the primary bus parking fills up, overflow will be directed to the W. High Street lots (via W. Maxwell Ave.).
Evening Bus Pick Up
State ends after Award Show (approx. 6pm Eastern)
Buses should queue in the parking loop area and await their turn to enter the Bus Zone. Students will exit Central Bank Center via the same ramps used for drop off.
Again, Lexington Police Department has informed CBC and STLP that stopping along W. High Street or Main Street to puck up students will not be tolerated by Lex PD.
Thank You!
Student transportation makes STLP State possible!
With as many as 600 buses set to transport students from all over Kentucky, we know that navigating the Bus Zone processes can be stressful. Thank you to all the bus drivers who help safely transport our STLP students to and from our event. We'll continue to do our best to make the process easy to follow and running as smoothly as we can.
Drive safely!
