On the 9th of September our school hosted an event to celebrate the success of our current S5 and S6 pupils in their previous session of study where the school achieved an outstanding set of results across National and Higher courses.Â
We celebrated our pupils success across three different categories:
Effort:
These were awarded to pupils who went above and beyond throughout the year and demonstrate a high standard of effort towards there work in class.
Attainment:
These were awarded to the pupils who achieved the highest marks in their end of year SQA assessments.Â
Achievement:
These were special awards for pupils who demonstrated achievement within the school. These were awarded to individuals that excelled within subject area's, not just through attainment, but their positive attitude within that area.
In addition to this we had awards for our pupils who achieved 5A's at Higher and the school Dux, who had the best academic achievement within the school.
Below is a summary of the pupils who were nominated for an award including a comment from their teacher.
This year, we had 5 of our current S6 pupils achieve 5 As at Higher level. Well done to all for the hard work!
Finally one of these pupils was nominated to be the School Dux. This is the pupil who's achievements were the greatest within this group. Choosing the person to receive the award this year was very tight due to the exceptional quality of the pupils eligible for this award.Â
