I teach P.E. for EY1 through to Grade 2.
I am from Wellington, New Zealand and have taught here at KIS since 1999.

Over the next few weeks classes will mostly be held in either Dance studio 3 or the Sports hall.

Sports Day Results
Thank you all for a wonderful Sports day last Friday 24th November.
Students, parents and staff all contributed to a Sports Day filled with energy, enjoyment and spirit.

 Sports day
Sports day 23/24 will be held on Friday November 24th.
EY1/2 will start their activities from 8-30am.
EY3/G1/G2 will start their activities from 9-50am.
Sports day will be held on the KIS Sports fields.
Please wear house shirts and bring a hat, water bottle and apply lots of sunscreen.

I hope you all had an enjoyable October break with your families!
Over the next few weeks the students will focus on..
1 Â Gymnastics/Movement activities in the dance studio
2  Athletics based skills and activities
3 Â Striking and fielding games
The students will also participate in activities will develop various core skills including..

Leading up to the October break ,we will focus on skills which will assist with the playing a variety of Invasion games and adapted team games.

The students will also participate in Spatial Awareness musical games which assist with their group thinking and problem solving skills.
We will spend some time in the Dance studio, looking at levels, pathways and how our bodies react to various challenges.

1 Communication skills through verbal and non-verbal cues and actions.
2 Self -Management skills through using time effectively and appropriately during skill based rotations.
3 Social skills  through developing skills that resolve conflict and participating in group decision making.
