ICT Retreat 2016

ICT Dept organized a special meeting on 14 - 15 July 2016 for all ICT staff to step back from our day-to-day demands and activities for an extended period of concentrated discussion and strategic thinking about a future of technology adoption and service improvement.

Goals: To reflect, move forward and relax

1. Reflection

  • reflect on the last year
  • think about where we have been
  • make sure we are still on the right path, and
  • see if that path is heading in the direction we now want to go

2. Moving Forward

  • get everyone on the same page
  • create a focus and direction for the next year

Main Activities:

  • Tum, Chat and Eed to share what they get from ITIL PD course during 29 June -1 July. ITIL will be used as a framework to develop our service plans.
  • Puk to share NMC Horizon Report: 2016 K-12 Edition which was discussed in ISTEC meeting last month. The report focuses on:
    • I. Key Trends Accelerating K-12 Educational Technology Adoption
    • II. Significant Challenges Impeding K-12 Educational Technology Adoption
    • III. Important Developments in Educational Technology for K-12 Education
