We want to provide the world with an easy to access program that diagnoses diabetes, to help relief the economical burden by the average families to do actual medical check up. Our program uses machine learning algorithms from training data gathered from official medical info databases, and boasts an accuracy rate of over 76.7 %. Due to the constraints of our training data, we currently only support diagnosis for females.
Sustainable Development Goals:
Our program aims to help the 3rd UN SDG, which is good health and well being. As the following:
- An estimated 303,000 women around the world died due to complications of pregnancy and childbirth in 2015. Almost all of these deaths occurred in low- and middle-income countries, and almost two thirds of those were in sub-Saharan Africa. These deaths are preventable with appropriate management and care. Globally in 2018, 81 per cent of births took place with the assistance of a skilled birth attendant, a significant improvement from 69 per cent in 2012. Coverage of skilled birth attendants in 2018 was only 59 per cent in sub-Saharan Africa.
Since women are susceptible to diabetes during their pregnancy, our application helps reduce the death from complications of pregnancy and childbirth.
This helps many clinics that may have not proper equipments to identify or test someone with diabetes. This program helps them test if someone has diabetes with missing data and easily analyse the data. Thus saving time, money and lives.
