Seesaw is a popular learning hub for ETSB classrooms in kindergarten and cycle 1. Students can upload work to their learning journals and families can see their own child's work through the companion app. Teachers can send messages to students and to families as well as assigning activities to be completed by the students. The following is a selection of resources and tutorials from the company that explain how Seesaw can be used by families.
This document will explain how to set up your family account. This is not the same account that your child uses to access Seesaw and complete their work. This is the account that will allow you to see their work, whether they complete it at school or at home, and to communicate with your child's teacher. Join right away to be sure that you receive announcements and so that you can follow along as your child begins building their portfolio! You can use the Seesaw Parent & Family App for iOS or Android, or you can access Seesaw on the web at app.seesaw.me.
*Note: You will need to receive an invitation from your child's teacher before you can create your family account and connect to your child. This invitation can be sent on paper, by email, or by text message. If you think your invitation has been lost, check with your child's teacher.

If your child's class shifts to distance learning, there is no need for fun learning to stop. This video will show you how to get your child setup to use Seesaw to connect to their teacher, and to receive and complete activities. Note that you will need to receive a special Seesaw Home Learning code from your child's teacher before this can be set up. Since your child is busy using Seesaw at school while they are in person, they will already know how to use the app once you get them connected from home.
