"Sa Bokabularyo ni Santos, Walang Salitang "Kapos". Handang Magsilbi nang Higit pa sa Lubos."
PROJECT TITLE: Kumusta sa Nangungumusta
Project Description
Kumusta sa Nangungumusta is a platform that would raise awareness about the importance of mental health, especially the people who are the “nangungumusta”. Sino ang kukumusta sa inyo?
Rationale
Due to the pandemic, factors related to mental health were given precedence more than ever. This platform is being advocated to constantly remind everyone of the values and ideologies that they must continue to uphold; the validity of everything that they feel, for instance.
Mechanism
This project will be executed through the utilization of social media platforms conducting interactive activities such as podcasts, letter writing, freedom wall, etc.
As it involves different means of execution, this may be conducted every month in a diverse manner.
PROJECT TITLE: JS (Junior & Senior) Prom
Project Description
The classic JS Prom is where students will gather at a common location and socialize with each other by dancing their hearts and night away.
Rationale
The pandemic took a lot from the students, including the bliss of experiencing a social gathering while wearing clothes that would make them feel extremely confident about themselves. Therefore, I would like to grab the opportunity to help the current batch of students to experience what we weren’t able to.
Mechanism
Similar to the execution of the Battle of the Bands Vol. 5, there would be several processes that the event must undergo before being completely executed.
Venue
Lights and Sounds
Theme
Parental Consent
etc.
PROJECT TITLE: You Have A Friend In Me
Project Description
More than being a Supreme Student Government election platform, this is more likely my personal advocacy. I would like to create a safe space and speaking environment for people and students like me who are most likely bottling everything up due to the circumstances they are facing.
Rationale
“Mental Health Matters” is what I would like to emphasize through this platform.
Mechanism
There would be a search for people who would like to help other students who are having a hard time coping with the situation, transition, and changes that are happening.
The people who stepped up would then be forming a group and will be creating a social media account which the students are free to interact with; it could be a simple greeting, a rant, a story, “tea”, etc.
