Honesty Shop: Now Normal

• Goal: This platform is made to let everyone in the EDSCI community buy supplies and any other sanitary necessities if ever they forgot some essentials throughout the day. Since this is an unmanned shop, they will not only get something they need, hence they will also be able to practice honesty throughout the campus.

• Description : Honesty Shop was actually made by the past Student Councils which has the intention to obviously practice honesty all throughout the school premises. This shop only stopped being implemented by the student council because of the learning set up during the pandemic. Now that we are back to face-to-face classes again, it will be great to have this shop back in action! Since the new normal is already the ‘now normal’ as to what Ma’am Oen have said during her opening message on EDSCI’s School Wide Orientation, “Honesty Shop: Now Normal” will be the new name for this shop, including school supplies and some sanitary necessities up on the shelf instead of just being called “Honesty Shop” and only having school supplies in it. Being said, the whole student body will have the chance to pay for the supplies they bought from this unmanned shop.

All students are highly encouraged to pay the exact amount of the product that they will be consuming. Moreover, a log book will also be provided beside the shelf. This will enable the students to take note of their name, section, the product that they will be buying, the amount of the product, and the date of when they consumed or bought the product. The “Honesty Shop: Now Normal” will be located at the Green Knight’s gym/covered court and will be open from 6:00 am to 5:30 pm. At the end of the day, the SSG’s treasurer, as well as the auditor, will tally and get the overall profit of the shop. The totality of the profit will then be posted on the transparency board so that not only the student council, but also the whole campus, will be aware of the current state and earnings of the shop.

At the beginning of opening this shop, the student council will first be the ones to fill the shelf with different supplies (the supplies can be donated by them or be bought with their own contributions). When the shop has already made a couple of money, this money will now be used to restock this shop. In addition, all the remaining cents will now be considered as EDSCI’s fund to be used for the different activities the student council will be implementing throughout the school year.

• Note: To ensure the sanitation of the shop and the people who will be utilizing it, an alcohol station will also be provided beside the stall.

Cleanest Classroom Award

• Goal : This platform is made to promote the students’ responsibility and organization inside their own classrooms. Since 2 sections are sharing a single classroom, this will help them give each other the sense of comfortability while they are utilizing each other’s room. The Cleanest Classroom Award will surely encourage every student to observe cleanliness within which can also help the school’s janitors/janitress to lessen their tasks.

• DescripThe Cleanest Classroom Award will be awarded monthly to the combined section who are sharing a single classroom from Junior High School (JHS) to Senior High School (SHS). The award will be granted every month online and the said sections who are sharing the same classroom will get a certificate of recognition. To determine the cleanest classroom, there will be 2 SSG officers assigned per month to check the classrooms and judge them based on the following criteria:

• Ambiance - 10 pts.

• Organization of Chairs - 20 pts.

• Organized Designs - 20 pts.

• Overall Cleanliness - 50 pts.

TOTAL - 100 pts.
