MAIN PLATFORM :
Goals: Project SayOut.Sophians aims to be the “safe place” for every Sophians to share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns freely and anonymously. This platform aims to get and understand everyone’s messages, regardless of the content, without making any judgment. In addition, this project proves that our feelings are always valid, and all we need is someone to listen to us.
Description: “Sometimes, it’s okay to talk to strangers, ‘di ka mahihiya and they won’t judge.” said by Ethan Del Rosario (Alden Richards) from the movie Hello, Love, Goodbye. Nowadays, opening up about your problems to someone is difficult because we are scared of what others will say, or in other words, we are afraid of being judged. Our goal as candidates is to serve the students since they are the ones who will elect us to our position. Sophians will be able to send their messages anonymously with the help of SayOut.Me, an anonymous messaging app. It might be a confession to the other students, shout-outs, problems, and rants about life. Most importantly, Sophians can say what platforms they want us to implement that they did not experience such as Sophian Graduation Ball, JHS prom, SHS prom, and many more. On the contrary, below-the-belt messages such as insulting, offensive, and abusive language will not be responded to and uploaded on the Facebook page's story/my day since it is our role as students to know our boundaries, especially if they might cause misunderstanding around the school. The link will be available on the Facebook page of the EDSCI Supreme Student Government. In terms of responding to their messages, we will provide feedback/answers by sharing them on the Facebook page's story/my day with the officers' consent. To summarize, this project will serve as the Sophians' online "freedom wall."
SIDE PLATFORM :
Goals: Project EsKWELA de SOAPhia aims to educate all Sophians that learning the proper hand washing method with the use of soap may help the school maintain a healthy environment during this time of the pandemic, which may result in the students becoming “makwela” (a term of being happy) since we can avoid the transfer of germs around the campus. The main objective of this platform is to preserve cleanliness for everyone in order to avoid the spread of bacterias to others by using soap after washing your hands.
Description: Based 0n the study of PAMET, using soap provides 24 hour germ protection by killing 99 percent of germs while also providing essential cleansing care for the entire family. Additionally, handwashing with soap is important in the fight against COVID-19 because it destroys the virus's outer membrane, making it inactive. Since face-to-face classes begin on August 15, we must be prepared in terms of maintaining cleanliness to avoid the transmission of bacteria. To begin, this project intends to educate all Sophians regarding the proper hand washing technique by placing a bar of soap with a smiley face sign in every restroom and washing area around the campus. Since the pandemic is still spreading and increasing, when Sophians go to use the faucets, there will be a provided soap with a happy face sign next to it for them to use. To summarize, this platform is environmentally beneficial as it encourages everyone to continue washing their hands properly. Finally, I'll leave you with a quotation that says, "Happiness can be achieved by sustaining cleanliness."
