Gerrod Henderson

Hi, my name is Gerrard Henderson. This is my first year coaching at The Woodlands Classical Academy. I am a graduate of Louisiana Tech where I played basketball earning the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore, named All-Conference three times, named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s Player of the Year and all-time school leader with 191 steals. As a guard, I left the program with more conference wins than any other player in the school’s history.

After graduating from Louisiana Tech, I moved to Europe where I played professionally for 11 years. I played for teams in Greece, Poland, Israel, Turkey, Ukraine, and Serbia.

Currently, I have my own basketball program, Check Me If You Can, where I work hand-in-hand with other youth/pro trainers and coaches. We have youth competitive teams and offer camps and skills training.
