Stacey Oney

Ms. Oney teaches 11th and 12th grade social studies, specifically U.S. History, Government, and Economics, in addition to dual credit history classes here at STEM Academy of Lewisville. Earning both her Bachelors of Arts and Masters of Arts in History from Fort Hays State University in Kansas, she began teaching college in 2007. Later she moved with her husband and children to Texas, where she received 4 teaching certificates: Generalist EC-6, Generalist 4-8, Secondary Social Studies Composite; and English as a Second Language. She has a total of 7 years of teaching experience ranging from elementary to college and excels at vertical planning and differentiation. She currently speaks 2 languages (English and Spanish) and is working on a 3rd (German). Other than teaching, Mrs. Oney enjoys travelling with her husband of 11 years and their 4 children.
