Cheri Ferneding, one of our Special Education teachers, enjoys spending time with family, traveling, riding bikes, and volunteering at organizations of need. Born in Hobbs, New Mexico, on October 9, 1970, Ms. Ferneding enjoyed the great outdoors in the wintertime – playing in the snow, making snow forts, snowmen, and enjoying a good snowball fight.

In college, Ms. Ferneding studied nursing for her first three years. She switched her major to Education and continued in post-graduate work to obtain her Master’s in Advanced Literacy. She attended Abilene Christian University, Western Governors’ University, and Concordia University. She feels that her “ideal” job is that of being a teacher. She loves working with children and meeting their individual needs.
