Aim to Write: A fantasy (Week 7)
Fantasy is pure imagination. Like fairy tales, fantasy involves characters and events that could not really exist/happen.
Features:
- The fantasy story may include magical or strange beings, special powers, mystical lands or time travel.
- Detailed and rich descriptions of strange settings/worlds/environments is common.
Structure: The main character usually goes on some sort of journey, either physical or imagined, as in a quest story. The story follows the main character's adventures, which may involve a transformation, leading up to some sort of climax, followed by a satisfying conclusion.
Audience: Your reader wants to be able to enjoy the pleasure of an imagined world and fantasy characters. Give them something really wonderful.
