Meadowdale High School has a strong culture of volunteerism; and each year student volunteers contribute thousands of hours to our school and community!
Did you know that you can get credit on your transcript for volunteering? Students are eligible to earn 0.5 elective credit for every 90 hours of volunteer service they complete (up to 3 times for a total 1.5 elective credits). Volunteer work must be done at a non-profit organization such as a school, church, or food bank (for example) and must be verified by an adult supervisor. To obtain credit, students need to submit their volunteer hours to the Career Center. A Verification Form should be completed for each organization.

The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Qualified Sophomores and Juniors are sent an invitation to participate during the spring semester. NHS students need to obtain a total of 90 volunteer hours in their high school career; with 10 of those hours being obtained at school/a school related event or activity.
