Enable or disable WebHID Headset in Call Settings (App)

App > Settings > Call Settings > Enable or disable WebHID Headset in Call Settings (App)

This article explains how to configure your WebHID Headset settings in App.

Overview

When using WebHID compatible headsets along with our WebRTC softphone, you can manage some on-call actions, like placing the call on hold, answering the call, muting the call, etc. right from the device. When these buttons are pressed in App, the headset automatically updates, too.

This relationship between the headset and the WebRTC softphone only happens when the WebHID Headset toggle is enabled. Since this feature might not apply to all users, the WebHID Headset toggle defaults to ‘disabled’ to allow you to opt into using it when it makes sense for how you use the system.

If you’re using the compatible hardware and want to take advantage of the WebHID feature, enable the WebHID Headset toggle under your profile settings.

Steps

4. Click the Call Settings tab.

5. Navigate to the WebRTC Audio container.

6. Click the WebHID Headsets toggle to enable or disable this feature.

5. Click the Save button.
