Change the Sync Code for a Sync (App)

This article explains how to change the Sync Code for a Sync in App.

By default, each channel or direct message has a unique numeric Sync Code. You can change it and create your own in the Sync Code field in the settings menu of any channel or direct Message. 

Avaya.cx users who are not members of the channel or direct message hosting the Sync, or guests who do not have Avaya.cx login credentials, must provide this code to join a Sync. The Sync code will populate in the meeting invite link, which can be shared with guests prior to the Sync.

Steps

1. Open the channel or direct message where the Sync will take place.

2. Click the channel settings button in the top-right corner of the feed.

3. Clear the existing Sync Code and type your own numeric code into the Sync Code text field.

4. Click Submit to save changes.

• A Sync Code must be at least one character in length and can only contain numbers.
