The Workflow Versions data source is a collection of tables you can use to build workflow session version reports in App.

Overview

The Workflow Sessions data source is one of several data sources available for creating reports in App. To learn more about data sources in general, please see: Overview: Data sources for reports (App).

With the Workflow Session History data source, you can create reports that show you information about all of the versions for the workflows on your account.

You can use this data source to retrieve information like: 

• What are all the versions that have been created for a particular workflow?

• Which version is the active version?

• Who created the version?

• When was the version created?

• Is the version published?

• Is the version the current (active) version?

This article provides common use cases for the data source and a list of its tables.

Use case

The most common use case for the Workflow Sessions History data source is creating a workflow version report.

With a workflow version report, you can create a single view for all the workflow versions that have ever been made for a particular workflow (or for all the workflows) on your account.

For example, if you want to review all of the workflow versions a particular workflow has had to review its past, you could make a workflow version report to see the progressive development of the workflow through its iterative versions.

Tables

Like all other data sources in App, the Workflows data source consists of several database tables that App uses to record the operational data associated with your account.
