I have identified a few potential, healthy solutions to manage when I'm upset so I don't take it out on myself or others.
Cut out the 12 example situations and sort them into two groups of six to find the two mystery words.
Watch and discuss as a class the altercation between Travis Kelce and Andy Reid. Do you think Travis Kelce's response to the fumble was appropriate? Why or why not Further Questions:
How do you think Andy Reid (coach) felt?
How do you think Taylor Swift (Travis Kelce's girlfriend) felt seeing that?
How do you think Travis Kelce's parents felt seeing that?
Do you think Travis Kelce's behavior is a red flag?

For the Do Now, the two mystery words are angry and mean, which is the focus on today's lesson. Angry is a normal human emotion, and it's okay to be angry. But it's important to know how to manage that angry because it's not okay to be mean.
The following are the examples for angry - slamming a door, venting, screaming privately (into a pillow), taking some time out (refusing to go to dinner to cool down), writing in your journal, being destructive is okay, so long as it's your things and it doesn't hurt someone else.
The following are examples for mean - spreading rumors, being public with insults (social media), swearing at others, being rude, name calling.
Extension question could be to ask what is the difference between being angry vs mean and when that line is crossed. Anger is allowed to be expressed, but when it is being taken too far?
