What do you think lunar means? What other contexts have you heard that word?

5. Don't Forget! Auckland's Lantern Festival on start Thursday, February 22nd to Sunday, February 25th. It'll be the first one in years!
I've given a large list of potential activities for this week, but I still highly recommend that mentor teachers either reduce the number of choices when giving the Mahi Choice or just pick from that list an activity for the whole class to do. Otherwise, it's a large amount of prep to be able to offer all the activities.
Please note that the creative activities will require some extra equipment, depending on which one(s) you select. This can range between needing string, balloons, toilet paper rolls, paper plates, etc.
If you're making the fire cracker popper, you can have them collect leaves from outside and hole punch the leaves to make confetti so that you can 'set them off' outside and you won't have to do clean up.
