Art Club

Background

Art Club Edge offers students with interest in visual arts to come together and learn about art. This creates a platform for students to showcase their talents and expand their knowledge in art and art-making through the use of different mediums. Students will be exposed to different craft types such as painting, illustration, digital art, sculpture, printmaking, etc.

Learning opportunities are also provided for students to embark on visits to museums to view art exhibitions. Such visits will help them build appreciation and awareness of art around them. Art Club Edge hopes to inspire Patience, Creativity and Teamwork in members.

Art Club Edge wants:

• To expose and encourage students to express their thoughts, feelings and creativity through the various visual art forms.

• To provide opportunities for students to be exposed to new techniques and mediums of art through hands-on activities, workshops and visits to museums and exhibitions.

• To build students’ confidence through engaging in creative experiences of art-making, competitions, museums visits, workshops to organizing events at both school and community levels.

• To encourage students to participate and excel in art competitions.
