Reading
Students are expected to read for 30 minutes each night. Each IRLA step represents 15 minutes of reading, so students should complete 2 steps (30 minutes) each night at home. At home, a parent or guardian can act as the student’s “coach” by listening to or checking their reading and initialing the student’s reading log each night. Each time a student reaches 100 IRLA steps, they earn a prize from our reading department.
Math Fact Practice
Please continue to practice addition and subtraction facts and begin practicing multiplication and division facts with your child. Knowing these facts will help your child feel confident and successful in third-grade math.
