STUDENTS IN GRADES 11 & 12 WILL BE CONTACTED BY A MEMEBER OF THE LITERACY TEAM WITH FURTHER INFORMATION

Test Format
Two Sessions - students will need to fully complete Session A and Session B
Recommended Time on Task: Session A - 65 minutes; Session B - 75 minutes
BUT - ALL STUDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO ADDITIONAL TIME IF NEEDED

Line Reader (blocks out everything but the line you want)
High Contrast, Draw Line, Highlighter, Eraser, Rough Notes

What Type of Questions?
35 → Multiple Choice ("selected-response")
Students read different texts (news articles, short stories, dialogues, etc.) then answer questions about the text using multiple choice platforms including drag and drop, drop down menu, checklist, and text selection.
1 → Open Response - Information Paragraph (100 words)
Using specific details from the reading selection (news report to support your answer.
*Remember - always use part of the question in your first sentence along with your answer!*
1 → Open Response - Opinion Essay (5 paragraphs; 500 words)
Series of Opinion Paragraphs about a topic provided (Intro, 3 Body Paragraphs, Conclusion).
Example essay question: Do people spend too much time on technology?
