Welcome Back Year 2!
Is your child feeling anxious and worried about returning to school? The ACT Education psychology service have produced three short videos to help you support your child as they return to school in the next couple of weeks.
The Forrest Squad
The Forrest Squad is a group of Year 6 students who are dedicated to supporting the Forrest Primary community. Their main focus is on wellbeing and how we can support each other to maintain balance in our lives. These students were selected by teachers based on an application where they had to explain how they would support other students, why they wanted to help others and why they thought wellbeing was so important, especially in this day and age.
These students meet regularly with teachers to discuss ideas and create activities for the Forrest Primary community. They are full of lots of great ideas, so keep your eyes on this space for more fun things to come!

We want to ask.... R U OK?
This Thursday the 9th is are you R U OK Day.
By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up. If they say they are not ok, you can follow the RUOK conversation steps to show them they’re supported and help them find strategies to better manage the load. If they are ok, that person will know you’re someone who cares enough to ask.
