Things you will need
grass seeds or alfalfa seeds
egg cartons, egg shells, soda bottles or stockings
soil
water
googly eyes or a texta to draw eyes
Description of the Activity
Collect your materials and fill the container or egg shell with soil
place the seeds on top
water regularly, place in a sunny spot and watch it grow.
Decorate your pet by giving it a face. You can keep an observation journal as well!
If you are using a stocking place the seeds in the stocking first. then add the soils on top
Tie a knot at the bottom and flip upside down. Place it in your holder with the knot down and the seeds towards the sky

What does a seed need to grow?
How does the surrounding environment impact plant growth?
As it is growing- Has there been any changes? Do we need to make some changes? i.g. move it to a sunnier spot, give it more water
