Things you will need
camera (digital camera, tablet or phone)
hat
sunscreen
water bottle
sun smart clothing
digital device (computer, tablet or phone)-only for when you arrive home
Description of the Activity
Go for a bush walk (where possible) or a walk around your neighbourhood
During your walk take photos of a landmark or points of interest. A photo of something that stands out. For example: a particular tree, hut, playground or you sitting on a hill

To access maps in google drive account follow this process
go to google drive
go to the new button on the left hand side
select ‘more’
then select ‘Google my maps’
Name your map
Search for your location
Drop a pin in your location by selecting add to map in the middle of the screen
On this pin you can add a photo or video. Click the picture of the camera and follow the prompts. Select a photo that you took of a landmark or your point of interest to mark this spot. Watch this link to learn how to upload photos to google my maps
Using the map follow the path you took on your walk. You may need to zoom in! Use the line tool (below the search bar on your map) to track you walk.
Use the marker(below the search bar on your map and next to the line tool) to add a new pin along your walk. Click on it then move your cursor to your next point on the walk and click down on the map.
Give each new point a name and add a photo

You can continue to add to your map with the different places you go while at home school. Or you can create new maps of your journeys.
