Teracia Jernigan has been an art educator since 2014 for ECISD. Jernigan currently teaches at Permian High School and helps to enrich the visual fine arts program within the district through various art displays, exhibitions, and competitions.
She has always had a passion for fashion since a little girl. Inspired by music, traveling, films, cultures, and art; that persisted her into applying to University of North Texas (UNT) to pursue her dreams in achieving a CVAD (College of Visual Art and Design) with a BFA (Bachelors of Fine Arts).
She strives to expose students' to a variety of different materials and to introduce them to the wonders of art from around the world through school field trips and educational travel during the summer. She is an artist at heart with a determination to fight adversity through gospel living and soon to mission around the world.
She is an active member of TAEA (Texas Art Education Association) and NAEA (National Art Education Association).
Jernigan continues to utilize her skills and talents to better serve her students in becoming future visionary artist.
