SANDRA ELMS

I have been an instructor with ECISD for over 20 years. My career began as a Lab Science Teacher at Blackshear then I migrated to GT for 6 years. To my great delight I was hired as an art instructor at GP Alamo STEAM Academy 2 years ago and have been living the dream, teaching my passion!

I have done art all my life, went to college and studied art but my teaching career did not start right away. 

 I headed out west to the desert wilderness where I lived off grid for 20 years. I was able to take this incredible experience and translate it to the science classroom and eventually bloomed in the art arena.

Again, my real joy has been rediscovering my love of the creative process and sharing that endless fountain of inspiration with children.
