JORGE AVENA

Jorge Avena resides in Odessa, Texas. He started his art education at the University of New Mexico where she studied Fine Arts during her undergraduate studies, with an emphasis in drawing and painting. Mr. Avena also has 19 years of coaching experience. He currently works full-time as an 8th grade art teacher and Athletics coach at a Bonham Middle School in Odessa, Texas. 

Outside of working as an educator, he works as a freelance artist and a muralist painter in his free time.  His mural work resides in places such as Odessa Texas, Albuquerque New Mexico, Chihuahua and  Guadalajara Mexico as well as Los Angeles, Compton and Anaheim California.  He began working for ECISD in August 2018, serving Bonham Middle School up to the present day.
