JOE DON CARTER

J.D.Carter is a native Odessan. He attended Permian High School, Odessa College, and received a B.A. from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene with a major in art and a minor theatre. Upon graduation Mr. Carter toured Europe on a study tour, painting and drawing in Italy, France, Spain and other smaller countries. Mr. Carter was an interior designer for 36 years and returned to teaching. Mr.Carter has taught in E.C.I.S.D. for eleven years at Crockett Jr.High and at Nimitz Middle School. In the summers he makes art, reads and prepares for the next school year.
