Financial Aid Graduation Requirement
DOES MY SENIOR NEED TO DO THE FAFSA?
Meeting the financial aid graduation requirement is mandated by the state of Texas. Your senior MUST meet requirement in order to walk the stage. You can meet the Financial Aid Graduation Requirement in the following ways:
Completing the FAFSA/TASFA for the respective school year, OR
Completing an Opt-Out Form if your student will not be attending college. You can obtain this form by visiting with your student's academic counselor.
We encourage ALL students to complete the FAFSA/TAFSA, although not everyone will qualify for income-based grants, many scholarship committees still require students to complete a FAFSA/TASFA in order to maintain eligibility.
***The state priority deadline for the FAFSA/TASFA has been moved to March 15, 2024***
