1.  Step 1: Getting Started- Access your strengths, weaknesses, goals, passions, learning style, and social skills. What is most important to you in the college-search process? 

2.  Step 2: Make Some Basic Decisions

• What are you interested in studying or majoring?

• Where do you want to live? Do you want to attend a public or private school? 

3.  Step 3: Make a List of Assistance & Colleges of Interest

4.  Step 4: Take a Campus Visit to the Colleges of your Interest

5.  Step 5: Apply for Admissions & Pay Application Fee

• www.applytexas.org  (Apply for any Texas college and/or university)

• www.commonapp.org  (Apply for any Out of State & Private universities) 

6.  Step 6: Submit Official Testing Scores to the respective colleges

• www.collegeboard.org (SAT/AP/ACCUPLACER Scores)

• www.act.org  (ACT Scores)

7.  Step 7: Submit Official Copies of your Transcripts

•  Permian High School Transcript- Email your Registar or request it through Parchment. 

•  Odessa College Transcript- Please access your OC Web Advisor at www.odessa.edu 

8.  Step 8: Submit resumes and letters of recommendation if required.

9.  Step 9: Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships

10.  Step 10: Apply for Housing once you have been accepted and have decided which college/university you will be attending.\

• Remember there is a housing application deposit so please be sure you are a 100% positive on your decision.
