Motivate Our Students Texas

Motivate Our Students Texas is a non-profit founded by Dr. Eli Whitney, a prominent local Cardiologist. This year Motivate Our Students Texas has partnered with multiple E.C.I.S.D. schools to incorporate Dr. Eli Whitney’s strategies for securing positive trajectories for all students aligned with the goals of CCMR. His organization is providing a generous amount of funding allowing students to learn more about our local community industries and institutions of higher learning. Originally, Motivate our Students Texas programming was implemented through sports. More recently, the vision is three fold. First, funding will provide students with three unique Educational Adventures per year, which are age appropriate. One Educational Adventure per year will be to a local institution of higher learning—for this year the local institution is Texas A&M at San Antonio. Second, volunteers associated with Motivate Our Students Texas will arrange for up to 3 unique motivational speakers per year to discuss non-academic keys to success and the requirement for math, science, reading and writing in the higher paying jobs in our society. The motivational talks will last roughly 30 minutes and will support the student’s curriculum and respect for education in general.
