Cherry Blossom Tree

Materials:

For this project you will need a piece of paper, a pencil, a brown marker, a cotton ball, white paint, and a color of your choice.

Step 1:

Using your pencil draw a tree with several branches.

Step 2:

Use your brown marker to color in the tree.

TIP: If you color the tree like you are drawing bark, the lines will look like wood and give the tree a textured look.

Step 3:

Use a paper plate or something you can put your paint on. Squirt a small amount of the color of your choice on the plate.

Step 4:

Use your cotton ball and dip it into the paint.

TIP: If you have a clothespin, pinch it on the cotton ball and use it as a handle.

Step 5:

Stamp your cotton ball all around your branches to create blossoms.

TIP: It might be helpful to tape your paper down while stamping to keep it in one place.

Step 6:

While your paint is still wet, add a small squeeze of white paint onto your other color.

Step 7:

Dip your cotton ball in the paint again and stamp over the branches again to make them look a little blended.
