Welcome to the Virtual Art Show!

Normally, East Buchanan would have a big K-12 and community art show in May. This year, we have had to recreate the show in a virtual format. The website is organized by grade level. The older students are near the top of the site, and if you scroll down, you will find the younger grades. Elementary has been organized by classes. Please view as much of the work as you would like. The students have worked very hard this year, and we are extremely proud of their efforts. Once you click on a class, you will have a slide show of that particular class. (if you find the site constantly loading slides, you might try to right click and download that show to make it easier to view) There will be many slides per grade level and class. Keep clicking to see more work! Thanks for viewing the work. Please share this link with your friends and family so your kids can feel appreciated for their efforts!

Mrs. Kristin Meyer (HS and elementary art teacher) and Ms. Kailey Lupfer (MS art teacher)

**Special thanks to the administration for allowing us to change things up this year. I am estimating there are well over 1200 artworks in the show. Thank you to Ms. Lupfer for her help in preparing the MS items, and attaching the link to the school website. Thanks to the tech staff for helping advise on how to logistically do this undertaking! Special thanks for my son, Quincy, for assisting in putting photos in the slide shows for grades K-4.

Art III, HS, art show

Art III Students

Art III students are usually juniors. They focus on the 3 theories of Aesthetic Art: Imitationalism, Formalism, and Emotionalism. They work on drawing, painting, sculpture, batik, clay, and art history movements like Pop Art.

Artwork will be returned in the fall, or contact Mrs. Meyer to make arrangements. meyer@ebs.k12.mo.us

Art II Students, Art show

Art II Students

Art II students are usually sophomores. They have a big drawing unit first semester that we call "Dr. Betty." It is based off Dr. Betty Edward's art lessons of teaching drawing by breaking down 5 basic elements to drawing realistically. We also study different media (like color pencils, oil pastels, chalk pastels, inks, paints, etc...), and work a lot on technique. We do our drawing unit, a painting unit, a watercolor unit, a clay unit, a printmaking unit, and a sculpture unit.

Artwork will be returned in the fall, or contact Mrs. Meyer to make arrangements. meyer@ebs.k12.mo.us

Art I, Art show

Art I Students

Art I students are usually freshmen. They have weekly sketches and daily journals, and learn a lot of the basics of art and art history. They work a lot on 2-D design projects, and drawing realistically.
