My name is Brandy Johnson and this is my 3rd year as the Choral Director at McKinley. I am a native of Baton Rouge, LA, where I attended Baton Rouge Magnet High School. I received a Bachelor of Music Education from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master of Music from University of Kentucky. I performed eight years as an opera singer with various companies including Washington National Opera, Chicago Opera Theatre and Santa Fe Opera. I am an active performer with Theatre Baton Rouge and New Venture Theatre. I look forward to bringing my love for music and performing to my talented students!
