Important Reminders for Parents regarding Classwork on School Chromebooks:

• ALL schoolwork is to be done using the EBR school issued Chromebooks.

• East Baton Rouge Parish utilizes Go Guardian as a means to monitor the Chromebook usage of students. Teachers will be monitoring school computers via Go Guardian during class sessions to ensure that students are not on websites or looking at material not related to the lesson or that may be inappropriate.

• Teachers and administrators will receive reports if students are accessing inappropriate/unauthorized websites or programs on their devices.

• Students are not allowed to download/add Chrome extensions that have not been authorized by their teachers or administrators of Sherwood Middle School.

Supplies needed for my Social Studies class:

All students should have ONE of the following:

• One Section of a Student's Binder dedicated for Social Studies (preferably with a pocket divider)

OR

• One pocket Folder w/ prongs dedicated to Social Studies.

Students are expected to keep up with ALL handouts in the binder/folder as they will become study tools to prepare for Unit assessments and LEAP Review. Students should select the organizational method that works best for them.

In additional to the above, the following items should be available to students at all times:

• Color Pencils (These are REQUIRED for map assignments for my class! Markers are NOT allowed any map activites)

• Scissors

• Glue Sticks

• Markers (These will be used periodically for other assignments in class)

• Blue or Black Ink Pens OR Pencils (personal preference)

• Highlighter (Any Color)

These materials can kept in backpacks for use in both in the classroom and at home.
