The Health Sciences Program follows the Project Lead the Way Biomedical Sciences curriculum. This rigorous curriculum allows students to explore real world problems related to biology and medicine. PLTW allows students to participate in hands-on activities that utilize the same equipment as researchers and health professionals.Throughout this 4 year program, students will have opportunities for collaboration with experts throughout various Biomedical fields and develop 21st Century skills.
The Sports Medicine program is designed to provide students with a unique educational experience by combining rigorous classroom instruction and hands-on practical applications. The Sports Medicine curriculum introduces students to human anatomy and physiology, general fitness, nutrition, prevention of athletic injury, rehabilitation and management, pharmacology, sports psychology, legal responsibility and liability, and environmental concerns. As a result, students will graduate from this program equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to enter a post secondary program in a related field of study.
The Radio Broadcasting Program provides students an opportunity to gain real world experience in a hands-on learning environment. Students enrolled in the Radio Broadcasting program will study broadcast and media history; broadcasting professionalism, ethics and law; and commercial and news writing. Students will also learn a multitude of technical skills, such as communicating effectively, recording and editing, conducting interviews, and ultimately producing live radio broadcasts. Our goal is to provide students with a thorough and multifunctional foundation in radio broadcasting allowing them to enter a post-secondary program or the job market with real world experience in radio production, interviewing, engineering, and writing.
