EBRC Industry Internship Program

EBRC is launching a pilot Summer Industry Internship Program for U.S.-based graduate students to gain experience in small- and medium-sized biotechnology companies. The program's goal is to provide students with opportunities that will better prepare them to become leaders in the next-generation biotech workforce and strengthen the interactions between academia and industry.

The Internship Program is open to PhD candidates at U.S. universities and colleges and small- to medium-sized biotechnology companies.

Students can expect to work on projects that fit their interests and experience and will enhance their studies, but may not directly relate to their thesis/dissertation research. No prior industry experience is necessary or expected. Host companies will provide funding to cover student-interns' tuition and fees and a stipend equivalent to the NSF GRFP. Potential internship projects can be found by clicking on the company logos here.

Summer internships will be four (4) months, running mid-May to mid-September.

The student application window for the Summer 2019 Program has closed.

Internships will take place at one of our participating companies. See the Companies page for more info on our Summer 2019 Program participating companies. Participating companies are located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California and Skokie (Chicago), Illinois.
