Google Meet is a video-communication service developed by Google. It is one of two apps that constitute the replacement for Google Hangouts, the other being Google Chat.
How to create a Meet for Students:
Google Classroom Meet Link
This is DOMAIN only and only students IN the Google Classroom can access the link (unless you share the link or the students share the link)
You CAN reset this link or disable this link if you find it's being shared out. You can enable it ONLY when you plan to Meet
This Meet can only be started by you and students cannot rejoin.
If you have Quick Access turned on, student will automatically be let in, if you turn it off, they have to ask to be let in.
Nickname Feature
The nickname can ONLY be started by you, students cannot join until you start the meeting. Only Domain accounts can join

How to create a Meet for Parents/Guardians/Community Members/Non-Google Users
Google Calendar
Go to your calendar, choose a date and time, and click "use Google Meet"
Send participants the Meet Link and also phone information
You will need to start the Meeting first by going to your calendar and clicking "Join Meeting"
Participants will need a Google Account in order to join - if participants do not have a Google Account, they can make one for free at Gmail.com or they can join with the phone number.
You will need to "let them in" and the name will display. Use caution when letting people in. Give time to enter the Meet. *Domain accounts will automatically be let in even before the host (NOT RECOMMENDED WITH STUDENTS).
ANYONE can join this link. Do not post the link publicly. This is NOT domain only.
