WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Friday 17th November 2023
Dear Families,
It's been a super busy week in school this week! Thank you for all of your support with wearing odd socks for Anti-bullying week and also for wearing spots for Children in Need.
We have one final fundraising event of the year for charity. We are going to be supporting Hands of Hope in Selby, which has a very close connection to our school and a charity we have been working closely with over the years. On Friday 1st December, children are invited to come to school in exchange for either a £1 donation or a new or pre-loved toy. These gifts will be used to support families in the Selby and district area. If you would like to know more about Hands of Hope please visit there website here.
We are excited for the coming month with lots happening for Christmas. FOSHA, the friends of Staynor Hall, met this week and agreed the committee members for the coming year. I wish to express a sincere thank you to all of them for their passion and commitment to supporting school. If you feel this is something you would like to be involved in please contact the school office.
Please see below for important, upcoming dates.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes
Mrs. Winter

What's Cooking
Team Dove have been visiting Cook School this week. Team Staynor are continuing to do some very worthwhile work with Sleep Safe Selby and have been busy cooking more Leek and Potato Soup. This will be donated to Sleep Safe so their homeless people can have a lovely, nutritious meal. The children have learnt how to safely peel and cut potatoes and how to safely use a pan on an induction hob. They have done an amazing job - their enthusiasm to support our chosen charity is humbling. Mrs Soper is so proud of you all!
Next week, Team Foss will be joining me in Cook School to cook some Sweet Potato Dahl (in celebration of the Diwali Festival of Lights).
