Unit 2 – Astronomy: Study of the night sky as it changes throughout the seasons as well as interpretations of constellations in different cultures.
Unit 3 – Animal Studies: Investigations of three different animals, their characteristics, needs, and behaviors.
Unit 1 – Geography of NJ: Study of the landmarks, waterways, and natural resources that make up NJ. Also the study of the regions of NJ.
Unit 2 – Settlement of New Land: Study of the native Americans who inhabited NJ as well as early European settlers. We will also look at NJ’s role in the American Revolution.
Unit 3 – A Growing State: Study of the changes brought on by the Civil War and Industrial Revolution.
Unit 4 – NJ Comes of Age: Growth and Change: Study of changes in population, housing, and government in a post World War NJ.
Unit 5 – NJ in the 21st Century: Study of the modern government and economy of NJ.
