Our Mission

The mission of the East Sac County School Libraries is to support the school’s mission of empowering all students to become productive, responsible citizens of an ever-changing global society by providing students with the opportunity to become critical thinkers, effective and ethical users and producers of ideas and information, and lifelong readers and learners.

Library Vision Statement

The vision of the East Sac County School Library program is to seek to provide welcoming and inviting spaces that support learning, collaboration, curiosity, critical inquiry and innovation as well as access to updated digital and print resources that represent diverse perspectives. The library will serve as a safe and guiding environment where students will have an opportunity to learn how to access and use technology as responsible digital citizens. The teacher librarian and staff shall continually strive to collaborate with teachers and administrators to design learning experiences that support the district goals and curriculum objectives.
