1st East Putney Scout Group

Boys and Girls aged 6-8 yrs (Wednesday 6.15-7.30pm)

Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouting family. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.

Boys and Girls aged 8-10.5 yrs (Monday 6.45-8.30pm)

Cubs have fun and adventures with their friends, play games, make things, go on visits, camps, challenges, competitions and learn new things.

Programmes represent a different development area in a young persons life. Such as: fitness and health, outdoors, creativity, beliefs and attitudes. Cubs are encouraged to earn badges in their interests and hobbies. Awards are used as a way of recognising and rewarding the achievements of our members.

Boys and Girls aged 10.5-14.5 yrs (Thursday 7-9pm)

Scouts are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of their programme. 'Participation', rather than meeting set standards, is the key approach and for the Scout who wants to be recognised for his or hers achievements there are a number of Challenge Awards and Activity Badges.

Scouts take part in a balanced programme that helps them to find out about the world in which they live, encourages them to know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit and helps develop their creative talents. It also provides opportunities to explore their own values and personal attitudes.
