Welcome to art with Mrs. Schrader!

I am so excited for all the amazing projects we are going to create this year!

I teach art at Macungie Elementary School on days 1, 2, & 3 and at Alburtis Elementary School on days 4 & 5.

What you need to know about art: Your child will come to art once per cycle for 40 minutes.

Each grade level will learn about a variety of artists and other cultures. They will learn the elements and principals of art and use them in discussion and art-making. They will sample a wide range of media (drawing, painting, clay, and more) and learn many techniques to make their masterpieces.

Please remember to dress for a mess...art can be messy! :)

About Me:

I have been teaching for East Penn since 2014. I started as a long term substitute at Wescosville and Alburtis for the 2014-2015 school year, followed by two shorter long term substitute positions in the 2015-2016 school year (12 weeks at my current schools, and 9 weeks at EHS), before becoming a contracted teacher at Macungie and Alburtis for the 2016-2017 school year.

Before teaching for East Penn, I taught at Holy Family School in Nazareth, PA for two years, teaching art to preK through 8th grade.

Education

• Graduated from Kutztown University with BS in Art Education in 2008

• Received TESL diploma from LCCC in 2011

• Masters in Instructional Technology from Wilkes University in 2018
