What is the Student Assistance Program (SAP)?
Throughout the schooling years, students often go through a great deal of change. In certain instances, parents and students may need help coping with these situations that may negatively affect the child’s experience in school or at home.
The Student Assistance Program team works collectively in a safe and trusting environment to remove barriers that would prohibit a student's success. It is our goal to identify at-risk behaviors and recommend an appropriate course of action. The SAP team is here to help students, their friends, and parents access school and community services.
Student Assistance is not a treatment program; but rather, a process using techniques to mobilize school resources to remove barriers. Where the problem is beyond the scope of the school, this program assists the parent/student with information so they may access services within the community
