Hello 2nd graders and families! I am just so excited to meet all of you! I have the wonderful privilege of being your teacher for this school year! We are going to have some fun and learn a ton! This year our brains will stretch and grow and fill with knowledge!
As we start off this school year, I'm sure you have lots of questions for me and I will be happy to answer them (if I do not answer them on here)! I appreciate your support and kindness while we navigate this together! Teamwork makes the dreamwork!
A bit about myself...I have lived in or very close to the district my whole life! I started down the street and now I'm back down the street. I've been in education for many years in several different capacities. I have been a full time teacher, a day to day sub, and a long term sub. I have two precious daughters whom I love to tell stories about! I also have 3 cats and I love to tell stories about them too!
Reading is what I like to do in my free time! One of my favorite activities is going to the library! I look forward to getting to know each of you and your family! Together we will work hard and put our all in to making this year a success!

You don't need all of these supplies. We will have some available in the classroom for all students to use.
1 sturdy backpack
2 packs of #2 pencils (pre-sharpened preferred)
1 pencil case
2 erasers
1 pack of crayons
2 highlighters (different colors)
2 dry-erase markers (low odor)
1 pair of scissors (child-safe)
2 glue sticks
1 ruler (with inches and centimeters)
2 pocket folders (durable, different colors)
1 set of headphones or earbuds (for classroom technology use)
You can always email me with questions, but the best way to see what we're doing in class and if your child has assignments coming up is by getting connected on the following two programs!
This is my primary means of communication. I will send out weekly updates on Seesaw.
Check out our Family Tech Resources Website! The purpose of this site is to provide both students and families of the East Penn School District resources on the technology they are using in the classroom. Some of the resources are created by East Penn, while others may be created by the companies themselves.
