Anjantte Hoffman is a dedicated fourth-grade STEM teacher at Shoemaker Elementary School, where she focuses on math and science with engaging lessons that spark curiosity and connect to the real world. A proud Kutztown University graduate with a bachelor's and master's degree in education, Mrs. Hoffman combines her passion for education with a commitment to helping young minds understand the world and their place in it.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Hoffman has taken on the role of president of EPIMC which is the band booster club at Emmaus High School. Here she continues to be connected with her love of music and encounters many former students. She has the honor to work alongside Mrs. Exaros daily. Both teachers strive to connect with students and engage learners in meaningful activities.
When she is not teaching, Mrs. Hoffman enjoys reading, traveling, working on crafts, and spending time with her family. She is a devoted wife of 25 years and the proud mother of three children ages ranging from 17 to 21.
In fourth grade, Mrs. Hoffman is in charge of teaching math and science. There are three units of study in science.
In this unit, students will explore various forms of energy and how energy can be transferred from place to place and/or transformed from one form of energy to another.
In this unit, students will investigate water and sound waves. Students will learn that all waves transfer energy from one place to another and cause a change. We can describe and measure all of these types of waves in terms of frequency, amplitude, and wavelength
In this unit, students focus on Earth's composition and the processes that shape it over time. Students will focus on the slow and fast processes that can change the Earth's surface.
You don't need all of these supplies. We will have some available in the classroom for all students to use.

You can always email me with questions, but the best way to see what we're doing in class and if your child has assignments coming up is by getting connected on the following two programs!
This is my primary means of communication. I will send out weekly updates on Seesaw.
Students will receive digital assignments and assessments in Google Classroom.
Check out our Family Tech Resources Website! The purpose of this site is to provide both students and families of the East Penn School District resources on the technology they are using in the classroom. Some of the resources are created by East Penn, while others may be created by the companies themselves.
